On 12/29/18 at approximately 6:30 AM, the owner of RCMA Make-Up (2360 Shasta Wy) contacted SVPD to report that his business was being burglarized and that he was watching it live from his remote video alarm system. He also added that a white van was possibly involved. When SVPD units arrived, the white van was spotted leaving the area. Several SVPD units responded and a traffic stop was initiated, but the suspects failed to pull over and began to flee. The van was pursued and eventually stopped in the parking lot near Home Depot (575 Cochran St.) at which time all six occupants fled on foot. The suspects were eventually detained and subsequently arrested.

The investigation revealed that the suspects cut into the roll up doors at 2360 suite #A Shasta Way and attempted entry, but were defeated by an interior wall. They then went to the next door business in the same building, suite #B, and smashed the front door window. The van was found to have been stolen from Bemco at 2255 Union Pl, Simi Valley. The investigation also revealed that at least two of the same suspects had earlier broken into a white Ford van in the 1400 blk. of Los Angeles Ave., possibly in an attempt to steal that vehicle as well. The suspects were identified as , Jonathan Osrao(10/7/95), Miguel Montano(7/3/97), Adalberto Zaragoza(1/31/96), Enrique Rivera(11/24/73), David Ortega(8/3/97) and Marcos Garcia(7/4/88). The arrest charges include, 459 PC (Commercial Burglary), 10851 VC (Vehicle Theft), 2800.1 VC, (Attempting to Evade), 182 PC, (Conspiracy to commit a felony). They were subsequently booked at the Ventura County Jail.
