New Year's Day Garbage Collection Changes & Borough Office Closures 
Residents, please note the following changes due to New Year's Day:
Garbage normally collected on Tuesdays will instead be collected on Monday, December 31st. These residents should place their garbage at the curb Sunday evening.
Garbage normally collected on Wednesdays and Thursdays will be collected as normal.
There will be no yard waste pick up on Monday, December 31st.
Scheduled bulk pick ups will take place on Friday, January 4th.
South River Borough Offices, Department of Public Works, Police Records and Municipal Court will be closed on Tuesday, January 1st.
