The Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Portions of southwest Virginia and West Virginia, including the following areas, in southwest Virginia, Buchanan and Dickenson. In West Virginia, Boone, Logan, McDowell, Mingo, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, Northwest Pocahontas, Northwest Raleigh, Northwest Webster, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas, Southeast Pocahontas, Southeast Raleigh, Southeast Webster, and Wyoming.
* Until 1 PM EST this afternoon
* Rain will increase again this morning. With nearly saturated soils from previous rainfall, this much rain may lead to flooding along creeks and streams, and in other low lying, poor drainage areas. Additional rainfall amounts should average between 1/2 to 1 inch across the watch area.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHEAST RALEIGH ... MCDOWELL ... WYOMING ... NORTHWEST RALEIGH ... NORTHWEST WEBSTER ... MINGO ... SOUTHEAST NICHOLAS ... DICKENSON ... NORTHWEST POCAHONTAS ...
