Community

Petaluma PD sends our best wishes for a safe and happy holiday!

Dear Petaluma Community,

As I am sure you have seen from our news releases in the last twenty four hours, Patrol Teams 1 (Dayshift), 3 (Swingshift), and 5 (Graveyard) along with their dedicated public safety dispatchers have been very busy.  They responded to everything from mental health crisis, DUI, domestic violence, stalking, burglary, and traffic collisions.   Your police department personnel remain ready to serve and protect you while you gather with friends and family on this Christmas Eve.

We are grateful for your continued support while we continue to struggle to provide the level of service this community deserves due to staffing. I hope you do not have to call on us this holiday season, but rest assured if you do you will be met with compassionate, well trained, and caring public safety professionals.

Please join me in thanking all of the police officers and dispatchers who are all working through the holiday so we can safely gather with our loved ones.  We appreciate them sacrificing time away from their family for all of us.

On behalf of the men and women of the Petaluma Police Derpartment, I extend warm wishes to each of you and your family for a safe and happy holiday!

Respectfully,

Ken Savano, Police Chief
