Coastal Flood Advisory until 02:00PM Sunday
The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect from 7 AM Saturday to 2 PM PST Sunday.
* SATURDAY TIDES...Total tide at Astoria is expected to reach 10.5 ft around the time of the 12 PM high tide.
* SUNDAY TIDES...Total tide at Astoria is expected to reach 10.7 ft around the time of the 1 PM high tide.
* Impacts...Overflow flooding is most likely to occur at high tide in low-lying areas near bays and sloughs and in the lower reaches of coastal rivers. Fraser Road is most typically impacted by this flooding in Tillamook County.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTH OREGON COAST
Instructions:
Residents in the advisory area should be alert for rising water and take appropriate action to protect life and property. A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
