Anthony Durell Mickel has now been taken into custody by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana. Deputies responded to a report of several males gambling in the laundry room of an apartment complex in Gretna, Louisiana. Upon arrival to the scene, at least one handgun was observed resting on top of the counter or laundry machines. When approached by law enforcement, the males were observed leaving the laundry room and two of them were observed running from the laundry room. During the foot pursuit, the male suspect bent over near the rear tire of a parked vehicle, then stood up and continued running. Responding deputies then cornered the suspect in another breezeway and once again ordered him to stop, at which point the subject complied and was taken into custody.
