The annual Crossing Guard Holiday Party was this morning at the Police Building. SCPD celebrated the Crossing Guards for the difference they make in the lives of children.

Crossing Guards serve as front line protectors to children as they come and go from schools. They blend compassion with the ability to gain compliance from kids, parents and passing motorists. Adult Crossing Guards have been a vital part of our community since 1979, staffing 31 corners and 13 Santa Clara Unified School District schools and 1 Cupertino School District school.

Margo Will, a relief crossing guard, made chocolate STOP sign suckers for everyone in attendance.

The event was catered by Mariani's Inn and Restaurant.
