On December 19, 2018, at approximately 10:30p.m. Shorewood squads were dispatched to Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Ave for a subject who took an unknown amount of liquor from the store without paying. The suspect was followed out of the store by loss prevention to the parking structure, when the suspect was approached by loss prevention he pointed a firearm at the loss prevention personnel. The suspect fled the scene in a smaller silver vehicle. The suspect was described as male, African American, light skinned, 6ft tall, black braids with red highlights wearing grey sweatpants and a black puffy jacket with fur on the hood. No injuries were reported.
