Wind Advisory until 01:00AM Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Wind Advisory for the Kern County mountains and desert, which is in effect from 2 PM PST this afternoon until 1 AM PST Tuesday.

* WINDS...Westerly 15 to 25 mph, with gusts near 50 mph through and below mountain passes.

* TIMING...From 2 PM PST this afternoon until 1 AM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and also make driving difficult, particularly for high profile vehicles. Highways affected include Highway 14, Highway 58 through and below Tehachapi Pass in the vicinity of Mojave, and Highway 178 through and below Walker Pass.

* AFFECTED AREAS: KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS ... INDIAN WELLS VALLEY ... SOUTHEASTERN KERN COUNTY DESERT
