On Friday, December 14, 2018 at approximately 12:31 am, East Los Angeles Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 4300 block of Whittier Blvd in East Los Angeles regarding a gunshot victim call.

Upon their arrival, they found one victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounce dead at the scene.

Information was obtained that the suspect vehicle was possibly  a green sedan. 

Shortly thereafter, another shooting occurred near mc bride and telegraph in East Los Angeles the suspect vehicle , green sedan , matched that of the murder. About 40 minutes later Deputies observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop.  The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated.  The pursuit traveled south on the 5 freeway at which time the suspects discarded a firearm near the Washington Blvd exit. The pursuit continued And exited at Garfield ave where the vehicle struck a median and blew out a tire.

The suspects reentered the 5 south and exited Paramount Blvd in  the city of Downey and stopped in the 9200 block of  Samoline Avenue in Downey.  The 5 occupants 2 female and 3 males were detained and arrested.  2 of the 5 were juveniles.

Investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are responding to the 4300 blk Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult. The incident occurred on Friday, December 14, 2018 at approximately 12:31 A.M. on the 4300 block of Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
There is no further information at this time, and the investigation is still on-going.
