Deputies arrest Mitchell Pierson for grand theft of a pick up truck and dump trailer.

SUSPECT: Mitchell Pierson, 50 years old, resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On October 7, 2018, a Yucca Valley resident contacted the Palm Springs Police Department about his 2002 Ford F350 truck and 2006 dump trailer that was stolen from a parking lot in the City of Palm Springs.
On November 18, 2018, deputies form the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station recovered the stolen Ford F350 Truck near the intersection of Primrose Driver and Lantana Ave. in Yucaipa. Through investigation, it was learned that the trailer was located at the 35000 Block of Avenue H Street in Yucaipa. Deputies responded and recovered the dump trailer. During the investigation, Mitchell Pierson was identified as a possible suspect in the thefts and deputies focused on his role in this crime.
On December 11th, Pierson came to the Yucaipa Police Department and turned himself in. He was arrested for VC 10851(a)- stolen vehicle and outstanding warrants and transported to the Central Detention Center. His bail was set at $100,000.
