December 4th

Grand Theft – San Pablo Ave. / Knott Ave.:
At 3:11 PM, a victim reported they were conned out of $5,000 by an unidentified suspect on the erroneous belief the suspect was an IRS agent.

Auto Burglary – Ross, 11545 San Pablo Ave.
An officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered the window of a Honda Accord and stole a laptop computer. The burglary took place between 7:00 PM and 7:23 PM.

December 5th:

Warrant Arrest – 9895 San Pablo Ave.
An officer was dispatched to the report of a subject causing problems at Peet’s Coffee. The subject, a 57-year-old Albany man, was found to have a warrant from the Berkeley PD. He was arrested, booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Auto Burglary – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave.
An officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the window of a vehicle and stole property. The burglary took place in between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM.

December 6th:
Auto Burglary – Nation’s, 6060 Central Ave.
An officer reports that an unknown suspect shattered a vehicle’s window and stole two backpacks from inside. The burglary took place at 6:40 PM.

Dec. 7

Auto Burglary – El Cerrito Plaza
At 9:50 AM, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered their vehicle and removed power tools and a backpack. The time of occurrence was between 4:15 PM to 5:00 PM.

Theft from Auto – 900 block of Avis Dr:
At 3:31 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and removed an iPad and a dog car seat. The time of occurrence was between 8:30 PM on 12/6 and 3:00 PM on 12/7.

Stolen Vehicle – 1600 block of Liberty St:
At 8:38 PM, an officer reports the victim’s vehicle was stolen between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The stolen vehicle was located nearby and released to the victim.

Missing Person – 2500 block of Nason Ave:
At 8:44 PM, officers responded to a call of an elderly male who had left his residence and was missing. The man was located nearby and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

Warrant Arrest – 1000 block of El Cerrito Plaza:
At 10:33 PM, an officer contacted a 46-year-old man who had a warrant for his arrest. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Macdonald Ave:
At 12:12 AM, an officer contacted a 46-year-old woman during a traffic stop and determined the woman had been driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman was arrested and later released from the El Cerrito Police Department with a citation.

Dec. 8

DUI – 11900 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 7:01 PM, an officer contacted a 54-year-old man during a traffic stop and determined the man had been driving under the influence. The man was arrested and later released from the El Cerrito Police Department with a citation.

Domestic Violence – 6500 block of Donal Ave:
At 7:08 PM, officers responded to a report of a domestic violence incident between a male and female. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 41-year-old male suspect was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Strong Arm Robbery – BART Path / Hill St:
At 10:37 PM, an officer reports a group of 6 juvenile males robbed a male and female juvenile after having just left the Del Norte BART station.

Resisting Arrest – 10200 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 2:42 AM, an officer responded to a 911 hang up and located a 43-year-old male in the area of the call. The male attempted to run away from the officer but was quickly detained and arrested. The man was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Dec. 9

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave / Wall Ave:
At 12:04 AM, an officer contacted a 36-year-old woman during a traffic stop and learned the woman had a warrant for her arrest. The woman was issued a citation and released from the scene.
