CRIME: 187PC-Murder
VICTIM: James Estrella, 55 year old, Ontario Resident.
SUSPECT: Gregory Jolley, 51-year old, Pomona Resident.
UNIT: Investigative Services Division/ Major Crimes Unit
NARRATIVE:
On December 10th, 2018, at approximately 6AM, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 blk. of west Grand Ave. in reference to a possible victim of a stabbing. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, who was suffering from a stab wound to his torso area. He was treated at scene by members of the Los Angeles County Fire Dept., however, life saving measures were unsuccessful and he succumbed to his injuries.
Major Crimes Detectives were called in to handle the investigation, and during the investigation, they identified Gregory Jolley as the sole suspect. Investigators learned the suspect was involved in a dispute earlier in the evening with the victim. In the early morning of December 10th, the suspect returned to the location and stabbed the victim while he lay in bed.
Afterwards, the suspect fled the location in his vehicle. On December 12th, Investigators received information that Gregory Jolley had been arrested by the LAPD on unrelated charges. Pomona PD Investigators are currently presenting the case to the LA County District Attorney’s for filing consideration. As of now, Gregory Jolley is being held by the LAPD pending their investigation.

SUSPECT: Unknown
NARRATIVE:
The Pomona Police Department received a call of a Stabbing this morning. Medical treatment was administered from responding officers and fire personnel. However, the victim did not survive his injuries. Detectives are investigating the death of a male adult. The victim has not been identified and there is no suspect information at this time.
