Candice Middione and Michael Middione are arrested for child abuse after investigation uncovers years of abuse

LOCATION: 12700 block of Valley View Street, City of Yucaipa
SUSPECTS: Candice Marie Middione, 34-Year-old Yucaipa resident
Michael Anthony Middione, 39-year-old Yucaipa resident
SUMMARY:
The Yucaipa Police Department has been conducting an ongoing child abuse investigation since November of 2018. Deputies obtained information and evidence from the victim indicating the victim has been physically abused repeatedly over the last several years by Candice Middione and Michael Middione.
Upon completion of the investigation, the case was submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office. The District Attorney’s office filed charges against Candice Middione for PC 273(A)a – Felony Child Abuse, and Michael Middione for PC 237(A)a – Felony Child Abuse and PC 136.1 – Dissuading a Victim. Candice Middione was located and arrested at her residence in the City of Yucaipa. Michael Middione turned himself in to the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. Both were booked and being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
