Yesterday, the Sheriff’s Office was honored to have the Forest Park Police Department join the Clayton County Police Department to execute a joint operation to locate and remove wanted criminals from Clayton County.  A total of 23 wanted suspects were located and arrested.

When Officers and Deputies went to an apartment located at 5420 Riverdale Rd to serve arrest warrants for Simple Battery, Cruelty to Children and Criminal Trespass on Justin Ortiz, he and his girlfriend refused to open the door.   When deputies made entry they found both of them hiding in the bedroom.  Also located in plain view was a clear Mason Jar containing 2.2 ounces (62.9 grams) of suspected marijuana, xanax, and a stolen handgun out of Warner Robbins.  

Ortiz and his girlfriend along with 21 others are now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para- military jail now better known as the “Hill-ton”.
