Wilcox Ave-Water Main Valve Replacement-12/7/18. No water after 9AM. Street Closure.
DPS will be replacing a water main valve located on Wilcox Avenue tomorrow, Friday, December 7th, 2018. Work is to take place on Wilcox Ave between River Street and West Broadway, starting at 7 am. Residents on Ann Street, West Ann, Meckley Ave, Baker Street, and Wilcox Ave will be without water for a portion of the project. River Street residents from Meckley to Wilcox Ave will also experience a water outage during work, as will West Broadway residents from Wilcox to Parish. Water will not be shut down until after 9 am, and is expected to be down for a few hours. Parking on the street will not be permitted, and the street will be closed to traffic between West Broadway and River Street for the duration of work. A detour route along Parish Ave will be established, however those affected may wish to seek alternate routes.
