This morning about 08:15 AM we received a call of a man walking down the street armed with two shotguns. The man was heard saying one gun was for animals and the other for people. We responded to the area and developed information the man was now located in a backyard within a shed. Members of our Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the scene. Contact was made with the man and he surrendered. There are no suspects outstanding related to this incident. Although there was no direct threat, local schools were asked to shelter in place as a precaution to ensure everyone’s safety. Again, we would like to thank our community for your patience and understanding, while we work through these high-risk incidents.
