The following crimes were reported in Canyon Country (West) during the week of November 5, 2018 to November 11, 2018:

11/06/18 
Petty Theft- 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive 
The victim stated while shopping at a business near the above location, she left her purse unattended and person(s) unknown stole her wallet from within. 

11/07/18 
Grand Theft Auto- 26900 block of Rainbow Glen Drive 
One suspect was arrested after he drove the victim’s vehicle without the victim’s permission. 

Grand Theft Auto- 16200 block of Vasquez Canyon Road 
Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked near the above location. 

11/09/18 
Commercial Burglary- 27100 block of Hidaway Avenue 
Person(s) unknown forced entry into a business near the above location and stole medicine from within.

***SAFETY TIP***
Keep a close eye on personal items when your shopping. Be careful about storing purses in the basket area of shopping carts. Thieves look for crimes of opportunity where shoppers' backs are turned, allowing them to quickly reach into a purse and grab a wallet.
