Simi Valley Police Arrest Prowler

On November 29th, at 8:30 am Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the report of a prowler in the 1800 block of Christine Avenue. According to the information received the suspect entered a backyard from the wash area.
When our officers arrived the suspect ran from the location. After a brief foot pursuit, he was apprehended and identified as 32-year-old Simi Valley resident, Luis Gonzalez. Gonzalez was found to be in possession of burglary tools, methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. The burglary tools included bolt cutters, lock drills and various other cutting devices.
He was arrested for the misdemeanor charges of Prowling, Drug Possession, Possession of Burglary Tools and Resisting and Delaying. We also found that he was wanted for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Gonzales was subsequently booked at the Ventura County Jail.
The Simi Valley Police Departments reminds all residents and visitors to the city to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to the Department. In this case quick reporting most likely prevented a more serious crime from occurring.
