Deputies Recover Stolen Equipment

On Monday, November 26, 2018, deputies J. Herrera and E. Agrait, assigned to the East Aldine Management District were called to a business located at 1618 Buschong Street in north east Harris County.

The business owner told them that sometime on the previous Sunday evening; unknown suspect(s) entered his property and stole his Kawasaki Mule (Multi-Use Light Equipment) vehicle. The owner stated the Mule is used to haul equipment around his business property and is vital tool for employees.

Deputies learned the mule is equipped with a GPS device and it showed the last plotted position to be in a large patch of woods near Greens bayou and Aldine Westfield.

Deputies Herrera and Agrait were able to utilize the Aldine Contract All-Terrain Vehicles to begin searching in the general area where the Mule showed to be tracking.

Due to the large amount of mud, soft soil, thick brush, and possible hiding spots that are within the large patch of woods the task of locating the owner’s vehicle was proving difficult.

Herrera and Agrait, refused to give up and after clearing multiple possible hiding areas, they were able to locate the Mule stashed inside of a very thick wooded area.

In an attempt to disguise the Mule, suspect(s) attempted to spray paint the Mule blue, due to the fresh paint displayed on the side of the vehicle.

Because of deputies Herrera and Agrait’s determination and diligence they were able to recover the Mule along with other stolen property and return them to the business owner.
