Major Traffic Collision

On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at approximately 2:04 PM, Torrance Police Officers responded to the area of Crenshaw Boulevard and Skypark Drive regarding a major traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.

The preliminary investigation reveals the driver of a dark gray 2002 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Crenshaw Boulevard before making a left turn.  The Toyota Camry ultimately collided with a motorcycle that was travelling the opposite direction, southbound near the 24800 block of Crenshaw Boulevard.

The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old male resident of Lawndale, was treated by Torrance Fire Department personnel at the scene, and later transported to a local hospital with major injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, an 82-year-old female resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, was not injured.  Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision at this time.

Northbound and southbound lanes of Crenshaw Boulevard will be temporarily closed between Skypark Drive and Airport Drive during this investigation.
