At approximately 1:30pm this afternoon, Officers got intelligence that the wanted suspect from a recent series of armed robberies was located in a residence in the 2700 block of Osha-He-Ta Trail on the city's far west side. During the course of the investigation, detectives confirmed that the male was actually inside the residence.

Officers accordingly surrounded the residence and requested assistance from the department armored vehicle, the Bearcat as it was believed the subject could be armed. The GBPD SWAT Team was notified and was in the process of responding, and area schools were placed into a temporary lock down as a safety precaution.

The male subject surrendered without incident. The temporary school lock down was lifted at approximately 2:43pm as there was no ongoing threat in that area. The investigation continues and police personnel are likely to be in that area processing the scene for potential evidence this afternoon.

A 26 year old male Green Bay area resident was taken into custody as a suspect in the recent series of armed robberies. As that investigation is still ongoing, no additional information will be released at this time.
