A message from Chief Bryan Sylvester:
Beginning December 1st, the Sachse police department will be providing daily reminders thru our Facebook page, to remove belongings, lock your vehicle and residence and turn an outside light on.
Although Sachse is a very safe community, crimes do occur. A significant number of property crimes can be deterred simply by locking our vehicles and residences. To date in Sachse for 2018, 78% of vehicle burglaries occurred in which the vehicle was left unsecured. Often times, citizens tell us they simply forgot to lock their doors.
As an additional means to assist in preventing crime in our community, nightly at 9:00PM the department will post a reminder such as below. We encourage our citizens to make this a routine and make it that much harder on thieves to commit crime in Sachse.
