Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that on 11/24/2018 at approx. 2204 hrs, deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office were called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on Dutch Settlement St, near Nubour Rd., in Wayne Township, Cass County Michigan. 38 yr old Dowagiac resident, Adam Molter, was westbound on Dutch Settlement St when his vehicle left the road, rolling onto it's side down the embankment near Nubour Rd. The driver of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital where he was transported by Med Flight To Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The passenger of the vehicle, 43 yr old Decatur resident, Johnathan Hemenway, was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. Both individuals were not wearing their seatbelts. This case remains under investigation.
