Dense Fog Advisory until 08:00AM Saturday

A cold front was moving rapidly through the area. Once it passes, the winds will abate to near calm, allowing for dense fog to form and remain over the region through early morning Saturday. The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM CST Saturday.

* VISIBILITY...1/4 mile or less.

* DURATION...6 to 10 hours once formed, dissipating around 8 am.

* IMPACTS...reduced visibility that affects driving distances.
