* WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 3000 feet. Total snow accumulations 7 to 14 inches, with over 2 feet possible near mountain summits. A trace to 6 inches of snow will be possible above 2500 feet by Friday evening.
* WHERE...Olympic mountains and valleys mainly above 3000 feet, including Hurricane Ridge.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Friday. The heaviest snowfall is expected Thursday afternoon and evening with snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour. Snow showers, some potentially heavy, will persist through Friday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult in the Olympics Thursday through Friday.
