#LASD REOPENING AREAS OF KANAN DUME ROAD AFFECTED BY WOOLSEY FIRE

LOS ANGELES (Wed., Nov. 21, 2018) – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is announcing the repopulation of additional areas impacted by the #WoolseyFire effective Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
 
Today, November 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. the following approximate areas within the City of Malibu and the unincorporated areas of Agoura will be repopulated:
 

  • Kanan Dume Road North of Cavelleri Road
  • Kanan Road South of Triunfo Canyon Road
 
This will open Kanan Dume Road / Kanan Road from Pacific Coast Highway to Highway 101.
 
EXCEPTIONS and ROAD CLOSURES:
There will be a closure of the eastbound lanes of Latigo Canyon Road at Kanan Dume Road and a closure of eastbound Mulholland Highway at Kanan Dume Road and westbound Mulholland Highway at Calamigos Road.

Simply visit the link and enter an address for the #WoolseyFire area in the search field and press enter. You can then scroll out on the map to determine if the indicated area has a red or green background. Red indicates the area is still closed and unsafe to return. Green indicates the area is open for repopulation. In addition to the map, the above written descriptions of the areas to be opened has been provided.
 
The Woolsey Fire Unified Command continues to monitor the burn areas, as well as those areas remaining closed due to critical infrastructure concerns or safety hazards. Any future information pertaining to safety conditions and repopulation will be updated at the following link: www.LACounty.gov/WoolseyFire/
 
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have a strong presence in the repopulated and evacuated areas for the next several days to ensure the protection of our residents and their property. All other road closures and evacuated areas for the #WoolseyFire remain in effect.
