Here are a some cases that occurred over the past few days that may be of interest.
 
On November 15^th at 10:18 pm, a woman was standing on the 2100 block of Parker Street using her phone when a group of 3 suspects approached her—one of them armed with a handgun.  The suspects robbed her of her cell phone and ran away.

On November 15^th at 10:25 pm, a woman was walking on the 2300 block of Dwight Way when a group of four suspects cornered her against a vehicle—one armed with a handgun.  The suspects punched the woman, took her bag, and ran away—west on Dwight Way.

On November 17^th at about 3 am, officers responded to the Shell Gas Station (1250 University Avenue) on a report of a man running-up to people and cars and threatening them.  On arrival, officers detained the man (Kaidi Clutchette, Male, 39 years, Oakland, CA) without incident.  Inside the man’s pockets, officers located a quantity of methamphetamine and arrested him on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation.

On November 17^th at 2:33 pm, a woman was walking south on Shattuck Avenue.  When she reached the intersection with Allston Way, a suspect (possibly wearing a respirator-type mask) came from behind her and grabbed her cell phone from her hand.

On November 17^th at 7:25 pm, two women were walking on the 2400 block of Warring Street when two suspects approached them—one of them armed with a handgun.  The suspects grabbed the backpacks/bags from the women and then ran away.

On November 18^th at 6:44 pm, a suspect entered US Smog & Gas (3000 Shattuck Avenue) armed with a shotgun and robbed the cashier.  After taking money, the suspect left the store.

On November 19^th at about 3 am, officers responded to a report of hit & run collision in the area of MLK Jr Way and Carleton Street.  While responding to the location, BPD received additional calls about a pick-up truck driving recklessly in the area.  In the area of Ward Street and California Street, officers spotted the pick-up truck and were able to stop without further incident.  After a series of sobriety tests, officers arrested the driver (Akimasa Jawara Moore, Male, 43 years old, Berkeley, CA) on suspicion of DUI and Hit & Run.

On November 19^th at 1:15 pm, a woman was standing at a bus stop on the 2800 block of Adeline Street holding her cell phone when a suspect ran from behind her and snatched it from her hands.  The suspect was last seen running south on Milvia Street.
