Community Awareness Meeting Tonight at 5:30 PM at the Boys & Girls Club East

The Green Bay Police Department has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club to host a Community Awareness Meeting. In our ongoing efforts to engage the community, we will be meeting tonight at 5:30 PM with the goal of connecting with parents of our youth in the community.

Tonight is “Family Night” at the club and we hope to speak with parents to bring awareness of any issues our youth may be facing in our neighborhoods, and in the community. As a department, we want to know all the problems our youth face because together we can help mentor, guide, and assist all the kids in the community.

Following our discussion with the parents and youth, we will have staff available to discuss “tenant rights.” This will complement our Landlord training we held on November 7th. We want to makes sure tenants are informed just as much as landlords are. We held this same meeting on October 25th at the west side Boys & Girls Club. Our goal is to connect to more parents and youth to further strengthen our community engagement.

Please join us tonight at 5:30 PM at the Boys & Girls Club located at 1451 University Ave. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please direct all media inquiries to this date and time. Thank you.
