Sheriff anticipates opening areas of Malibu westbound to County line, including Broad Beach, Mon, 11/19, 2PM

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department anticipates beginning the repopulation of the following areas impacted by the #WoolseyFire at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 19:

This will include the following areas of the Broad Beach neighborhood:

o From the ocean (south)
o Malibu City limit (north)
o Guernsey Avenue (east)
o Ventura County Line (west)

EXCEPTIONS: Kanan Dume Road and Latigo Canyon Road are open only from Pacific Coast Highway to the Malibu City limit. Areas north of those locations will remain closed. Corral Canyon Road is closed northbound from Pacific Coast Highway.

NOTICE: LASD will be maintaining a checkpoint for residents entering this newly opened area on Pacific Coast Highway at Guernsey Avenue, and will be requiring identification. Access to the area west of the checkpoint will be limited to residents only.

You can then scroll out on the map to determine if the indicated area has a red or green background. Red indicates the area is still closed and unsafe to return. Green indicates the area is open for repopulation. In addition to the map, the below written descriptions of the areas to be opened has been provided.
