Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 200 block of Middle Street.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., officers of the Jackson Police Department responded to the area of First and Middle Street for a call of a victim suffering from gunshot injuries. Responding officers located a victim suffering from gunshot injuries. The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators with the Jackson Police Department continue to investigate this case in an effort of identifying the suspect. Jackson Police do not believe this was a random incident.
