WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT
This storm rapidly intensified and temperatures remained colder than expected. This caused a heavy snowfall and roads rapidly detonated. There are trapped vehicles and motor vehicle crashes everywhere. This has also impeded the work of the snow plows.
We urge everyone to stay home for the remainder of the evening while the hardworking plow crews work to made the roads safe.

* WHAT...HEAVY SNOW CHANGING TO MIXED PRECIPITATION. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO TWO INCHES AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO ONE TENTH OF AN INCH. WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 35 MPH.
* WHERE...IN NEW JERSEY, WESTERN PASSAIC AND WESTERN BERGEN COUNTIES. IN NEW YORK, ROCKLAND, PUTNAM AND NORTHERN WESTCHESTER COUNTIES.
