Single vehicle accident leads to OWI arrest.
On November 14, 2018, at 5:43 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a rollover accident on US 41 near County Road 150 South. Upon arriving Deputy Ben Kiesel began a roadside investigation into the accident and officers on scene detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. At that point Deputy Kiesel began a DUI investigation that resulted in the driver 18 year old Ethan Grace of Evansville being taken into custody. Mr. Grace was transported to the Gibson General Emergency Room where he was medically cleared and then transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Grace was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $450 bond.
Assisting Deputy Kiesel in his investigation was Princeton Officers Chelsea Jones and Matthew Perry.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
