#LASD - OFFICIALS WARN EVACUATED RESIDENTS: STAY OUT OF EVACUATION ZONES - DO NOT RETURN TO YET.
STAY OUT OF EVACUATION ZONES
Los Angeles County officials are warning residents displaced by the #WoolseyFire to stay out of the evacuated zones, until first responders have deemed the areas safe and the evacuation orders are lifted.
Authorities are aware of the need for fuel in the fire impacted areas. We are working on a safe solution to address your concerns.
Please do not bring fuel or anything else into the evacuated areas. Dangerous conditions still exist in neighborhoods affected by the wildfire.
Residents’ safety is the number one priority of first responders, and although it may appear that fire threats have passed in some communities, officials warned that the situation remains unstable and can shift dangerously with changes in wind patterns and other unpredictable factors.
Evacuated Zones still have:
- Downed power poles/live power lines
- Live embers that could reignite
- Buckled roads
- Landslides/unstable ground
- Massive amounts of debris
- Embers that could reignite blazes
- Unhealthy air quality
- Poor Visibility
- No power or cell phone access
