LA County Fire Dept + City of Malibu hold meeting to update Malibu evacuees of Woolsey Fire. Tues, Nov 13, 7PM at Santa Monica High

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the City of Malibu are hosting a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Santa Monica High School, in the Barnum Hall to provide updates to Malibu evacuees from the Woolsey Fire. All Malibu community members impacted by the devastating Woolsey Fire are urged to attend. At the meeting, the most up-to-date information about the Woolsey Fire in Malibu will be shared, and questions will be take. “My heart goes out to all those who have experienced losses,” said Mayor Rick Mullen, who is also a Los Angeles County Firefighter. “I know all of Malibu is anxious and wants to know when they can return to their homes. But the fire is still very active and dangerous and all of Malibu is under mandatory evacuation. I urge everyone to follow the directions of our emergency and law enforcement personnel. The City is doing everything possible to assist residents, and the community will come together to recover from this disaster, as we always do. We appreciate everyone’s patience.” The meeting will be live streamed and can be viewed later on-demand at Tuesday, Nov. 13, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Barnum Hall, Santa Monica High School, 600 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90401 Parking will be available for free in the Civic Center Parking Structure, 330 Olympic Dr., Santa Monica, CA 90401. The meeting will include comments from Los Angeles County Fire Department, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire), Los Angeles County Sheriff Department (LACSD), major utilities, City of Malibu, State and local elected officials.
