Update - 12:45 PM House fire - Campfire Drive. Temporary road closure 
California City - The 100 block of Campfire Drive remains closed as fire units from California City, Kern County and Edwards Air Force base put out a house fire on Campfire Drive. The home, a double wide trailer, was fully engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived. The house was a vacant home. The area around the home will be closed for approximately 1 hour as crews complete. The California City fire department was able to prevent the spread of the fire to nearby homes. More information will be released by CCFD.
