Press Release: Drug Arrest

ACCUSED: Loren D. Watson Jr. 32-year-old Male // Durham, NC
NARRATIVE:
On November 7th, 2018 at approximately 8:54 police responded to the Seaview Square Shopping Mall for a report of suspicious vehicle in the area of Costco. Police Officer Dean Schoch located a white Lincoln Town Car fitting the description and conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area. Once stopped the driver later identified as, Loren Watson was found to be in possession of narcotics, removed from the vehicle and arrested.
Further investigation revealed that prior to the stop Watson attempted to ingest a plastic bag containing cocaine. The bag was recovered and the Wanamassa First Aid was requested to the scene to evaluate Watson. He was ultimately charged with Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Watson was transported to the hospital and released on a criminal summons pending a future court appearance.
