Evansville man arrested for driving while a Habitual Traffic Violator.

On November 10, 2018, at 5:14 p.m. Sgt Bruce L. Vanoven conducted a traffic stop on a Red 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan near the intersection of US 41 and County Road 1250 South. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Vanoven identified the driver as 43 year old Joseph Schlumpf of Evansville. Upon running Mr. Schlumpf through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Sgt. Vanoven discovered that Mr. Schlumpf was operating the vehicle while a HABITUAL TRAFIC VIOLATOR. At that point Mr. Schlumpf was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Sclhumpf was charged with Operating a Vehicle While a Habitual Traffic Violator. He has since posted a $750 bond.

Assisting Sgt. Vanoven in his investigation was Fort Branch Officer Darrell Parker.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
