Pursuit suspect leads officers to drug arrest.

On November 7, 2018, at 12:14 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the area of East State Street and Washington Street in Princeton. Upon arriving in the area Princeton Officer Nefty Padilla attempted to stop a Green 2008 Ford Taurus during his investigation. Ultimately the driver 46 year old Jeffrey Siekman lead Officer Padilla and multiple Gibson County agencies on a cross county pursuit that ended after Mr. Siekman abandoned the vehicle and fled to a local residence in the 12000 block of East 100 South.

Upon taking Mr. Siekman into custody law enforcement officer continued their investigation speaking with the residents of the home on 100 south 41 year old Andrew Rottet and 37 year old Emily Dersch. During their continued investigation Deputy Jennifer Loesch and other officers on scene located illegal drugs and took Mr. Rottet and Ms. Dersch into custody. Upon transporting them to the Gibson County Jail Mr Rottet was charged with Dealing in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamines. Ms. Dersch was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana. Both have since posted a $750 bond.

Charges against Mr. Siekman are pending at this time and more information can be obtained once it is available from the Princeton Police Chief Derek McGraw at 812-385-3437.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
