#LASD SVB Detectives Investigating, Music Teacher of Maywood Academy High School

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Special Victims Bureau, is conducting an investigation regarding a music teacher at the Maywood Academy High School in the city of Maywood, who was involved in a physical altercation with a male student.
 
On Friday, November 2, 2018, at 1:15 p.m., 64-year-old Mr. Marston Riley, who works as a music teacher at the Maywood Academy High School, was involved in a physical altercation with a 14-year-old male student while in class. As a result of the altercation, the boy (victim) was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for moderate injuries and later released.
 
Mr. Riley was arrested for Child Abuse, 273a (a) PC and booked at East Los Angeles Station. He later posted bond and has since been released. Mr. Riley’s arraignment is scheduled for November 30, 2018, at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Courthouse. This investigation is active and on-going as is being handled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau.
