Harper Woods Police Officers responded to an address on Prestwick last night around 8:10 pm on a report of a domestic disturbance involving weapons. A resident of Harper Woods informed officers that a male suspect that is known to her pointed a handgun at her, the resident then fired rounds from a shotgun at the suspect’s car as he fled the home. The suspect who allegedly pointed the gun at the resident is in custody and is being held without bond. There were no injuries in this incident, the suspect’s vehicle was damaged by the gunshots, no other damage has been reported.

This incident occurred between people known to each other; there were no other residents that were targeted for a crime. NO shots were fired by police officers, the suspect is in custody and there is no further danger to the community.

The entire matter is being investigated by Harper Woods Detectives and a warrant request will be presented to the Wayne County Prosecutor.
