Deputies investigate a two vehicle collision on Sand Canyon Road; one driver was transported with injuries

LOCATION: 12100 block of Sand Canyon Road, Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): Driver #1: Adult Female, age 20, resident of Yucaipa
Vehicle #1: Blue 2014 Mazda Sedan
Driver #2: Adult Male, age 23, resident of Yucaipa
Vehicle #2: 2017 Taota Motorcycle
SUMMARY:
On Friday, November 2, 2018 at 5:51 a.m. deputies from the Yucaipa Police Department were alerted to a vehicle vs motorcycle traffic collision in the area. The vehicles were travelling northbound on Sand Canyon Road when they collided with each other. Vehicle #1 left the roadway and overturned. Driver #1 was transported to a regional hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries to her head and upper torso. Driver #2 fell off of his motorcycle and received first aid treatment at the scene, but did not require further medical treatment. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
