POLICE ANNOUNCE WINTER PARKING RESTRICTIONS TO TAKE EFFECT
I. Pursuant to the “No Parking on Streets or Public Ways within the Town of Goffstown from 2:00 a.m. through 5:00 a.m. from midnight November 15 through midnight April 15 of each year Ordinance” notice is hereby given that enforcement of this ordinance will commence at midnight November 15, 2018 through 0500 a.m. on April 15, 2019.
II. DECLARATION OF PURPOSE: This ordinance is to promote more efficient and effective snow removal operations throughout the town during times where the DPW is engaged in the majority of its usual wintertime snow removal operations throughout the town’s public roadways. It is intended to prohibit extended parking of vehicle on streets during 2:00 a.m. through 5:00 a.m. when trucks and other DPW equipment are engaged in snow removal from said streets, when parking there could impact and impede the safe, efficient and orderly removal from roadways.
III. REGULATION: No person shall park any vehicle on any street or public way in the Town of Goffstown from 2:00 a.m. through to 5:00 a.m. during the period herein designated as beginning at midnight November 15, continuing through until midnight April 15 of each year. (No parking summons will issue until after 0200 a.m. on commencement date)
