Weather Service in Peachtree City, is forecasting the potential of severe weather (Tornadoes, High winds) for today.
• Strong to severe storms in eastern MS early this morning will move into the state around 11 am and progress east through the afternoon and evening.
• Damaging winds up to 60 mph and isolated, weak tornadoes will be possible.
• Unless storms weaken, a tornado watch will likely be issued for parts of west-central
and middle Georgia later this morning.
• Additional thunderstorms with strong winds up to 50 mph may redevelop over areas south of I-85 on Friday before moving out by 7 pm Friday evening.
