1 injured in Car v Deer Crash

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 11/1/2018 at approximately 1238, his office was called to the area of Dutch Settlement st and Huff Rd, in Marcellus Township, Cass county Michigan, for a car vs. deer crash. 50 yr old Vandalia resident, Michelle Wax was Westbound on Dutch Settlement St when she struck a deer. She was transported by ambulance to Borgess Lee hospital in Dowagiac for treatment. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor and it is believed that seat belts were worn. This case remains under investigation.
