Traffic stop leads to arrest of Mount Carmel woman for Reckless Driving. 
On October 28, 2018, at 11:31 p.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel conducted a traffic stop on a Black 2017 Nissan for traveling at 97 mph in a 60 mph zone on US 41 near Fort Branch. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Kiesel identified the driver as 20 year old Monique Kimpling of Mount Carmel, Illinois. Deputy Kiesel performed a brief roadside investigation before placing Ms. Kimpling into custody and transporting her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail Ms. Kimpling was charged with Reckless Driving. She has since posted a $900 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
