Incident Summary:
 
On October 30, 2018 at approximately 10:35 am, officers were dispatched to the area of Old Redwood Highway and North McDowell Blvd on a report of a collision.  Upon arrival, officers learned Jamie Ann Salkeld had rear ended another vehicle at the intersection.  Both parties agreed to move into a nearby parking lot.  Salkeld struck the same vehicle again while attempting to park in the parking lot. 
 
While speaking with Salkeld, officers learned she had taken prescription medication.  Salkeld was put through a series of field sobriety tests in which she demonstrated impairment.  Salkeld was ultimately arrested for 23152(f) VC; Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.  Salkeld was taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital where she submitted to a blood test.  Salkeld was then transported and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.    
 
It was later discovered Salkeld had appeared in Sonoma County court earlier in the day.  The appearance stemmed from a DUI arrest which occurred on 11/21/17.  In that case, Salkeld collided with a vehicle in Cotati.  Salkeld failed to stop and was followed by a witness until she was contacted and ultimately arrested by the Petaluma Police Department for 23152(f) VC; Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and 20002(A) VC; Hit and Run.
