INCIDENT:  2018-25763  Burglary (Residential), Theft, & Criminal Mischief
 
DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  Between 10/06/18 - 10/07/18
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  Residence in Grover’s Mill Estates

DETAILS:  Ptl. Nagy was detailed to an open front door at an unoccupied home that was for sale. Investigation determined the following: Unknown actor(s) pried the front panel off of a realtor lock box that was attached to the front door. The key inside the lockbox was then used to open the front door. Appliances were some of the few things remaining in the vacant residence, and it was determined that a Samsung refrigerator in the kitchen had been stolen along with an Ariens snow blower that was in the garage. Gouge marks and scrapes were made on the hardwood floors as the refrigerator was dragged out of the house through the front door.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Fiore was detailed to the Lowe’s for a theft where the following occurred:  While the store was closed, two suspects driving a Home Depot rental truck stopped in front of the store where the outdoor grills were on display. Two locks securing the grills together were cut, and four grills were loaded onto the truck which fled the area as an employee was arriving to work.

Arrested: Larry D. Hicks, Black male, 28 years old
                Resident of Euclid, OH 44123
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. N. Cuomo #582
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Cuomo was detailed to the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant for a male attempting to use a fraudulent credit card. Restaurant staff became suspicious of the transaction when the MasterCard used for payment displayed an account number for a Visa account when it was swiped on their payment processing system. While Ptl. Cuomo was speaking with the restaurant manager, Larry Hicks attempted to leave the restaurant but was detained. Investigation revealed that the MasterCard Hicks attempted to use was physically stolen in August of 2018, and the account information on the magnetic swipe strip (which did not match the numbers printed on the card) was also stolen. Two additional credit cards found in Hicks possession also had information on the magnetic strip that did not match what was printed on the cards. Hicks was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  10/12/18  at  2:00 AM  (Reported at 7:02 AM)
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  Residence in Princeton Oaks

DETAILS:  Sgt. Lai and Ptl. Montgomery were detailed to a burglary in the Princeton Oaks Development where the following was determined to have occurred: Unknown actor(s) pried open a locked rear window to a residence using a screwdriver, breaking the lock. Once inside, a women’s Henri Bendel designer backpack containing cash, credit cards, and other valuables, that was on the kitchen table was taken. Nothing else appeared disturbed. The residents recalled hearing a loud noise around 2:00 AM, but thought it was related to the ongoing thunderstorms in the area. While Sgt. Lai investigated this burglary, Ptl. Montgomery canvassed the area and discovered that a second residence in Princeton Oaks had also been burglarized (See Case #2018-26215).

DETAILS:  Ptl. Montgomery investigated a burglary to a residence in the Princeton Oaks Development where the following was determined to have occurred: While the residents were asleep, unknown actor(s) entered their home through an unlocked rear door for the mudroom. Once inside, a Dyson cordless V8 Absolute vacuum cleaner that was hanging from the wall of the mudroom was taken, along with cash from a wallet left on the dining room table.

Arrested: Gerald A. Peabody, Black male, 24 years old
                Resident of Trenton, NJ 08609

DETAILS:  Ptl. Fiore initiated a stop on a white 2004 Infiniti sedan for making an unsafe lane change, weaving in and out of traffic, and for having dark tinted front windows. During the stop, Gerald Peabody was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. Peabody also had an active warrant for his arrest from Bordentown. Peabody was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released after posting bail for the Bordentown warrant.

DETAILS:  Sgt. Poskay was detailed to the Target store for a Shoplifter being detained by Asset Protection.  Investigation determined that the following occurred: Mohammed Faizel walked throughout the store selecting and then concealing $295.82 worth of merchandise into a large plastic storage bin. Faizel then paid for the storage bin, but not for the merchandise inside, and exited the store. Faizel was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.
