Stolen Clayton County EMS Ambulance Found And Suspect Is Now In Custody! SHERIFF VICTOR HILL

The look out for the stolen Clayton County E.M.S. Ambulance is now cancelled.

Within the last two hours the ambulance was stolen from a Clayton County Fire Station located by Southern Regional Hospital.  Sheriff’s Deputies scoured the area and found the ambulance parked in the parking lot of Southlake Mall on the food court side.  As Deputies approached the stolen ambulance they observed a man with a Clayton County Fire jacket on exiting the vehicle.   The man later identified as Larry Lee Dunlap turned around to go back to the ambulance, and when he saw the Deputies he turned again and began to flee.

When Sheriff’s Deputies drew down on Dunlap, he immediately complied and laid down on the ground making it clear that he wanted to drive the ambulance and not ride in the back of one.  While being handcuffed Dunlap told Deputies that he was a fireman in training.  It was explained to Dunlap that now because of his actions, it was highly unlikely that the Fire Chief would ever consider him for a position.

Dunlap could have endangered someone’s life if they had needed that ambulance during the time that he stole it.  This is why Dunlap is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail, now better known as the “HILL-TON”.
