The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on October 25, 2018 detectives went to a residence in the 500 block of N Front St in the City of Dowagiac on a parole check with Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) Agents. Upon arrival at the residence detectives approached the house and one of the residents attempted to flee out a second story window but came down without incident. Two subjects, one of which was on parole, were detained while detectives and MDOC agents searched the residence. Detectives located several items of paraphernalia for the use of methamphetamine and marijuana. The subject on parole, a 38 year old male, was arrested on a parole violation along with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. The second subject, a 31 year old male, was arrested on several unrelated warrants. The suspect’s names are being withheld pending arraignment. The investigation is still on going at this time. The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team and MDOC agents were assisted on scene by the Dowagiac Police Department.
